Dynamic of Gdp change due to consumption

In 2006 the GDP calculated through the consumption method comprised 14,178,9mln manats, or 20.1% down as compared to the GDP ratio calculated by the State Statistics Committee through the production method.

Drop was observed in the special weight of investment consumption in the total amount of aggregate consumption from 45.2% in 2005 to 42% in 2006.

Special weight of aggregate consumption demand fell from 47.7% in the first half of 2005 to 42.4% in 2006.

Public consumption grew both in absolute and relative prices. The expenses for purchase of goods and services rose by 76.6% as compared to 2005, while the special weight grew from 5.9% to 8.8% in the structure of consumption

In 2006 local production failed to cover domestic demand, while import covered the considerable part of demand. As to foreign demand on local export product it remains to be high, while the export sector speeds up.

The special weight of export in GDP dropped from 1.2% in January to November 2005 to 6.8% in 2006.
