MP Ali Ahmadov, the Vice-Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), said that there have been very significant successes in the policy carried out by the Chairman of the New Azerbaijani Party (YAP) Ilham Aliyev, since the time when he was elected as the President of Azerbaijan. Due to that, people believe in him, and therefore there is a great belief that he will be re-elected during the next presidential elections to be held in 2008, he said, Trend reports.

He said that the ruling Party has a great experience in taking part in election campaign. The party took part in all elections and won all of them. The Party has significant resources, both human and organizational, and as I mentioned before, the great experience in taking part in elections. Along with all those, the strong belief and trust of the people to the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) is one of the key factors enduring the success of the party in the elections. All those are just some factors guarantying that the election campaign will be held for the Party successfully. However, the most important factor is the one candidate, who was approved by the Whole Party and who will represent the Party in the next presidential elections, said Mr. Ahmadov.

He said that during the forthcoming presidential elections to be held in 2008, Ilham Aliyev would be not only the candidate of the ruling Party, but also the candidate of all Azerbaijan voters, who support him and his successful carrying out policy. This is one of the most substantial factors stipulating the fact that Ilham Aliyev will face a great success during the next presidential elections, said Mr. Ahmadov.

YAP was founded in Nakhchivan in 1992. The All-Nation Leader, late Ex-President Heydar Aliyev was the first Chairman of the Party. President Ilham Aliyev is the present Chairman of the Party, which has been a ruling for 14 years.
