France, Strasburg / corr. Trend E.Mejidly / The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Tarry Davis, said that the organization is interested in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. He briefed the media on 18 April in Strasbourg that he believes resolution to come in the near future. In addition, Davis stressed that the Council of Europe supports each step in this respect and highlighted the importance of all efforts in this direction.
Speaking of the assassination of the Christian missionaries in Malatya City of Turkey, the Secretary General said that occurrence of such incidents in Turkey is unacceptable and expressed his regret. Davis believes that the State bodies and self-government bodies of Turkey will detain and punish the offenders.
