Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / A delegation headed by the Chairman of the France-Caucasus Friendship Group of the French Senate, senator Ambruaz Dupon, will arrive in Baku 20 May for a 2-day visit. The visit is a response to the invitation by the Azerbaijan-France Friendship Group of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), the Director of the Azerbaijan-France Friendship Group, MP Gular Ahnmadova reported on 17 May. She noted that besides Dupon the delegation will include another three senators.
The French delegation will pay a visit to the grave of the Azerbaijani ex-president Heydar Aliyev in the Cemetery of Honours, afterwards the Cemetery of Martyrs, followed by meeting with the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Heydar Aliyeva, the administration of the parliament, and the members of the Azerbaijan-French Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to receive the delegation.
"The intensification of cultural and economic relationships between the two countries will be discussed at the meeting," Ahmadova said.
