Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizadeh / Rene van der Linden, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), stated during the meeting with Eldar Namazov, the president of the social 'for Azerbaijan' forum and the Azerbaijani law defenders held in Strasburg on 27 June, that he would visit Azerbaijan at the beginning of July.
Namazov noted that during meeting with PACE's president the situation of Azerbaijani press and the implementation of duties undertaken by Azerbaijan before the European Council were discussed.
"The discussions on Azerbaijan will be held during PACE's Monitoring Committee meeting on 28 June. Then statements of social reporters of PACE on Azerbaijan will be expected," Namazov added.
The Azerbaijani delegation will also hold meetings with the members of the 'Ago' group, as well as the Monitoring and Political Committees of PACE.
The spring PACE session began on 25 June and will continue until 29 June. The Azerbaijani delegation, including Arzu Abdullayev, Nofall Jafaroglu, Said Gojamanli, Saadat Bananarli, Eldar Zeynalov and Eldar Namazov, will take part in the session.
