Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / Criminal proceedings on the lawsuit of the Citizen and Development Party (CDP) of Azerbaijan against the Justice Ministry have been again postponed, the Chairman of the CDP, Ali Aliyev, reported.
Although the party submitted its constituent documents to the Ministry as far back as a year ago, it has still not yet been issued registration. The action submitted to the Yasamal District Court of Baku reflects the demand for registration.
The first preparatory meeting on the action was postponed due to the non-appearance of the defendants in court. At the second meeting attended by the representatives of the Ministry, it was decided that proceedings should be held on 24 July.
On 24 July the representatives of the Ministry again did not appear in the court presided over by Judge Fahraddin Aghamirzayev. Due to second absence of the defendants, the proceedings were postponed to 2 August, 11:00 a.m.
The pro-opposition CDP is represented in the Azerbaijani political bloc of Azadlyg.
