Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E. Husenli/ The restrictions will be imposed on the broadcasting of films (feature films and documentaries) in the Turkish language, on the Azerbaijani TV channels. The NTRC of Azerbaijan has banned the broadcasting of films in the foreign languages, since 1 January. As the Turkish is similar to the Azeri language, the broadcasting of films in the Turkish has been partially permitted.

The TV channels overuse the broadcasting of films in Turkish, therefore in the mid-January the NTRC will conduct a meeting with the management of the TV channels. The restrictions that will be imposed on the broadcasting of films in Turkish till April, will be determined in the meeting, Jabiyev said.
