Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has identified a list of referees of the international category to be sent to FIFA.
29-year-old Anar Salmanov will replace Babak Guliyev, punished as a FIFA referee, chairman of Judiciary Committee, Khagani Mammadov told Trend on Sept. 24. From the previous list, 39-year-old Vusal Aliyev and 37-year-old Fariz Yusifov were included in this list, as well.
The list of the FIFA assistant referees has undergone more changes. Three of the six linesmen are new - Vagif Musaev, Mubariz Gashimov and Samir Hajiyev. "Attention is also paid to the fact that referees must have good physical performance and also must be tall," said Mammadov.
Elman Musaev (1970), Mehman Mahmudov (1975) and Orkhan Mammadov (1985) are assistants FIFA referee.
Mammadov said there are not any new referees in mini football and beach football. It is planned to send to FIFA the names of the only Azerbaijani referee of the national beach soccer team Afghan Gamzaev and two mini soccer referees Elchin Samadli and Elchin Mammadov. 33-year-old Anar Niyazov remained outside the FIFA list as he was punished like Babak Guliyev.
The list of FIFA woman-referees includes Sabayel Gurbanova, Venera Muradov, assistant referee - Ulviyya Mustafayeva and Maya Nabiyeva.
The deadline for submitting a list of candidates for FIFA referee, which was approved by the AFFA Secretary General, Elkhan Mammadov, ends tomorrow.
