The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has approved the "Rule of awarding graduates who have completed their general education with special achievements with gold or silver medals ", the Cabinet reported.
According to the rule, a contender for a gold or silver medal must have excellent marks on all disciplines or excellent marks must consist 75 percent of the level of general education.
Candidates, who are to be awarded with gold or silver medals, with excellent overall marks in the certificate, will be awarded with gold medals. But if there are at least two good marks (excluding marks on a language of teaching and mathematics) in the certificate, these candidates will be awarded with silver medals.
A candidate's awards that he or she received as a result of participation in the final stages of the national school Olympiads, contests, competitions or projects on knowledge having the district (municipal), public or international importance will also have importance.
