Three Azerbaijani athletes represented the country at the event.

The best result was shown by junior Elvin Agadadayev, who took the third place in the final exercise on horseback. He received 13.75 points from the judges and was inferior only to the athletes from Iran and Turkey.

Elvin took the fourth place with a score of 77.1 in the all-around, yielding three Turkish gymnasts. He also joined the quartet of the best in the finals on rings and parallel bars.

Ruslan Balakishiyev, who also was competing among juniors, took the seventh place on the rings. Ugur Khalilbeyli also ranked seventh in the final exercise on horseback.

Another Azerbaijani gymnast Shakir Shikhaliyev took part in an international tournament in Austria.
