Union of Azerbaijani World Youth to be created

Members of the First World Congress of Azerbaijani Youth in Frankfurt have decided to create the Union of Azerbaijani World Youth, the Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora told Trend. An action group was created to facilitate the plan.
Based on the congress' resolution, the World Congress of Azerbaijani Youth will convene once every three years. The next meeting will be held in Moscow.
The Union of Azerbaijani World Youth will bring together youth diaspora organizations, inform the international community about Azerbaijan, preserve national values, protect human rights and freedoms and coordinate activities to promote the country's cultural heritage.
The congress' resolution also underscored the need to inform international organizations and foreign governments about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The congress was held in Frankfurt on Nov. 27-28. The meeting was organized by the committee and the Azerbaijani Youth and Sport Ministry. The event was held in accordance with the "State Azerbaijani Youth Program," which was approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
