Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov noted that parliament should focus its efforts on the draft family code, which should "reflect the modern concept of the family, marriage, maternity and childhood, as key aspects of social relations," the Vatan newspaper reported.
Berdimuhammedov also named the penal, administrative offenses and civil procedure codes among priorities.
Taking into account the socioeconomic program, the country plans to update its legislation relating to banking, intellectual property and the environment by 2030.
"The successful implementation of the country's socioeconomic development directly depends on the successful, efficient operation of the state authorities and management," Berdimuhamedov noted, stressing the importance of implementing e-records management.
