A woman who was engaged in illegal propaganda of 'Jehovah's Witnesses' sect has been detained in Azerbaijan.
During joint activities of employees of the Lankaran city and region police departments on April 29, Lankaran region department the of the National Security Ministry and the southern department of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, it was revealed that a resident of the Lankaran city Gulnaz Nasirov has been engaged in propaganda of the 'Jehovah's Witnesses' religious sect without a corresponding permission.
Some 19 religious books, promotion and dissemination of which banned by law, was seized from her house during the search.
The fact is under investigation.
