Kazakh citizen Aynur Ahmetova is in critical condition in a Massachusetts hospital.
Her mother asked not to have her daughter disconnected from artificial life support and that she be transported to the neurosurgery center in Astana, Ahmetova's mother's statement, posted on a Kazakh blog platform, said.
"I ask that the government assist in transporting my daughter, without disconnecting her from artificial life support, to the National Neurosurgery Center in Astana", she said.
"First, Aynur was swimming in a pool and afterwards she was found unconscious", the Foreign Ministry said earlier. "There were no surveillance cameras in the hotel where the incident occurred."
This issue is under the special control of the Kazakh Consulate General in New York.
Kazakh student took part in the Work and Travel education program in the United States.
The source said that blood tests did not reveal drugs or alcohol.
