Hasan bey Zardabi played a big role in the formation of the Azerbaijani statehood and nation, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Head Ali Hasanov said today at the conference "Azerbaijan's national press: from Zardabi to the present days" dedicated to Hasan bey Zardabi's 170th anniversary.
During the conference Ali Hasanov spoke about Hasan bey Zardabi's role in the formation of the national press, as well as the role of Ekinchi newspaper in shaping the nation.
"We believe that Hasan bey Zardabi's 170th anniversary will contribute to the development of the national press in Ganja, as well as throughout the country, continue the traditions of the press," he said. "Using the most advanced achievements of the world press, Azerbaijani press will serve to meet Azerbaijani people's needs for the information."
The heads of well-known press bodies and the executive power representatives also attend the conference.
The press representatives attended the Press House foundation laying ceremony.
Hasanov said that the Press House in Ganja will serve to the development of the national press.
