EducationUSA exhibition will be organized in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In this regards, a press conference was organized. Media Specialist at the US embassy in Azerbaijan Mehdi Huseynguliyev, consultants on education issues Leyla Hamidova and Sevinj Huseynova attended the press-conference.
“EducationUSA exhibition is held with the support of the US embassy in Azerbaijan and the American Councils for International Education,” Huseynguliyev said. “It will be held on October 20 from 16:00 to 19:00 (GMT+4) at the Hilton Baku Hotel.”
The main objective of the exhibition is to provide its visitors with the most complete information about educational programs and study opportunities at the US universities.
Visitors will be able to directly ask questions, consult with representatives of US universities and university graduates.
“This year, nine US universities will be represented at the educational exhibition, including Indiana University Bloomington, University of California, Los Angeles, Valdosta State University, Wright State University and others,” Huseynova said. “The represented universities are located in six US states - California, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Idaho and Ohio.”
“Brochures with a complete list of these universities, specialties and information about scholarships will be presented to the visitors,” Huseynova added. “Among these universities are two private universities, the other seven – public universities.”
“The education exhibition is held annually,” Hamidova stressed. “The representatives of the US embassy in Azerbaijan, coordinators for various educational programs, as well as graduates of US universities will attend the event.”
“EducationUSA is a big network for those who want to get education in the US,” Hamidova added. “EducationUSA has 400 centers in more than 120 countries. Education USA center in Azerbaijan has been operating since 2012. Since January 2018, services have been rendered to more than 1,500 people.”
According to the statistics for 2017, 386 Azerbaijani students study in the US, including 148 students at the undergraduate level, 149 graduate students, the rest students study upon student exchange and short-term educational programs.
Most US universities provide students with many opportunities to receive full or partial scholarships.
