All gymnasts to take part in the World Cup in Baku have the same chances of winning, Rosannagh MacLennan, Canadian trampoline gymnast and 2012 and 2016 Olympic champion, told Trend.

“I think that everyone has potential to win. I am just going to focus on doing the best routine that I can,” the trampolinist noted.

She underlined that the main goal is to qualify for the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.

McLennan further stressed that the preparation to the World Cup is going very well and she is feeling good and relatively prepared.

She also noted that she considers the Trampoline World Championships 2015 and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games as the most difficult competitions in her career.

The gymnast stressed that Chinese, Russian, Belarusian and British teams are the strongest.

The World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling will be held Feb. 16-17 in Baku. More than 160 gymnasts from 30 countries will take part in the World Cup.

Six FIG world cups in trampoline will be held in 2019 and 2020 and two of these will be held in Baku.

Such athletes as Vladislav Goncharov, Rosannagh MacLennan, Jason Burnett, Dong Dong, Gao Lei, Dmitry Ushakov and Bryony Page will compete in this World Cup.

Veronika Zemlianaia, Ruslan Agamirov, Ilya Grishunin, Oleg Piunov and Mikhail Malkin will represent Azerbaijan at the World Cup.

Baku hosted the European Championships in Trampoline in 2018. Representatives from 26 countries participated in the championships. The trampoline world cups were organized in 2016 and 2017.
