BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. A total of 60 ambulance brigades will function during COP29, said Vugar Gurbanov, Executive Director of the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TABIB) at a briefing on the organization of medical care within COP29, Trend reports.
“The list of employees involved for 60 ambulance brigades (doctor, middle medical worker, driver) has been prepared and 60 new ambulatory cars (İVECO brand) have already been assigned. I would also like to mention that in connection with the COP29 event, the ambulance and emergency medical teams will serve both in the hotels and at the venues of the event. Backup ambulances and crews have also been prepared in case ambulances are moved throughout the venues.
Basic and advanced training has been conducted for the ambulance crews that will provide emergency medical care, and 488 people have already completed the training. This includes doctors, paramedics, and drivers. Meanwhile, 331 individuals engaged in English language courses to enhance their linguistic proficiency,” Gurbanov said.
