The Extreme Hangout representative Catherine Batley highlighted that this platform (EXH@COP29) is an official part of the Green Zone and offers various partnership opportunities for organizations wishing to showcase their commitment to addressing the climate crisis.
“The Extreme Hangout aims to create opportunities for young innovators to propose real, sustainable solutions and shape the global climate agenda by collaborating with new partners and speakers,” Batley said.
The Extreme Hangout at COP29 will foster a dynamic environment for youth-led climate events.
Its workshops and sessions in the COP29 Green Zone, running from November 11 to 22, will focus on specific climate issues, such as regional water scarcity and innovations in renewable energy. Key topics to be addressed include nature and biodiversity, ocean ecosystem preservation, resource management, community engagement, sustainable futures, changing narratives, and humanity's responsibility.
COP29 is officially starting today in Baku. The event, which will take place from November 11 through 22, will bring together world leaders, politicians, and climate experts to discuss the pressing issues of climate change. Climate finance, emission reduction targets, and global cooperation are on the agenda. It is expected that the results of COP29 will have a significant impact on the formation of the future climate strategy of the planet.
