Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan , deputy Chairman of the State Commission for the Azerbaijani Language stands up for establishment of a united coordination centre which could unite all the linguists of those Turkic-language countries that transited to the Roman alphabet, Trend reports.
According to Mr. Rzayev, Azerbaijan supports Kazakhstan in its transition to Roman letters.
You know that not only Turkey and Azerbaijan, but also Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan turned to the Roman Graphics. Now, Kazakhstan has made such a decision, said Mr. Rzayev.
In this connection, in his opinion, it is necessary for al the linguists of Turkic-language countries that adopted Roman letters to establish coordination centre to elaborate united approaches to defining resonant sounds.
"That is a very important moment, Resonant sounds must be common, stressed Mr. Rzayev.
