On December 8, court sentence was passed on 6 high-ranking employees of Barmek-Azerbaijan Company in Azerbaijan Court on Heinous Crimes. The Court session presided by the Judge Azer Orujov, Trend reports. In March 2006, the Head Department for Fight with Organized Criminality arrested the Head Engineer of the Company, Asif Akperov, Chief of the Department for Installation and Meter Control, Firidun Agayev, his Deputy Elnur Mutallimov, Chief of the Department for Energy Purchase, Alesker Ramazanov, his Deputy Rahib Musayev and the Chief Engineer for Energy Sale in Binagadi district Ahliman Mahmudov. They are accused of misusing the state property.
According to the decision of the Judge, Asif Akperov was sentenced to 1,5 years in prison, Firidun Agayev to 2 years, Elnur Mutallimov to 2 years, Ahliman Mahmudov to 1,5 years, Alesker Ramazanov to 3 years and Rahib Musayev to 3 years.
