Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The departments on juridical assistance to Azerbaijanis in Russia go on with their work, the head of the Department on Russia at the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad, Shakir Salimov, has reported.

After the Law on Legal Status of Migrants passed by the Russian Federation a ban was imposed on trade by persons without permanent registration. Later, special departments rendering assistance to Azerbaijanis in registration in Russia were established.

The representative of the Committee noted that the departments were situated at the diaspora organizations' offices. "Every Azerbaijani who is need of help gets juridical assistance. Deportation cases have not been registered yet. The State Duma (Russian parliament) has recently made amendments in the Law in light of the wish of the migrants to work at Russian markets. Migrants including Azerbaijanis will restore trade at the markets," Salimov has said.

According to Salimov, the ban has not caused mass flow of Azerbaijanis from Russia to their motherland.
