Azerbaijan in 11M2021 increased the export of persimmons by 39 percent, or 36,412 tons compared to the same period last year - up to more than 129,516 tons, Trend reports citing a report from the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
According to the SCC, during the specified period, the share of persimmons in Azerbaijan's total exports amounted to 0.46 percent, and in non-oil exports - 3.88 percent.
"Exports of persimmon in value terms in 11M2021 exceeded $91.45 million. On an annualized basis, this figure increased by 40.91 percent, or $26.551 million," the report says.
It is noted that the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan in 11M2021 overall increased by 32.85 percent, or $7.463 billion compared to the same period last year - from $22.746 billion to $30.209 billion.
In the structure of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting period, exports amounted to $19.799 billion, and imports - $10.409 billion, having increased on an annualized basis by 51.6 and 7.47 percent, respectively.
As a result, in 11M2021, the foreign trade balance, while remaining positive, increased on an annualized basis by 178 percent, or $6.014 billion - to $9.389 billion against $3.375 billion in 11M2020.
