Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan discloses loans issued to population

Banks and credit organizations of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) increased the issuance of loans to legal entities and individuals by 31.1 percent in 2021 compared to 2020, which amounts to more than 235 million manat ($138.3 million), Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of the NAR.

According to the committee, more than 211 million manat of this amount ($124.1 million), or 89.8 percent, has accounted for long-term loans, and nearly 25 million manat ($14.7 million), or 10.2 percent - for short-term loans.

Over 1.062 billion manat ($625 million) were allocated to the development of the socio-economic sphere of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2021, which is two percent more than the same period in 2020.
