BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The trade turnover of Azerbaijan with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries from January through March 2022 exceeded $1.3 billion and its share in the total Azerbaijani foreign trade turnover amounted to 34.95 percent, Trend reports with reference to Statistical bulletin of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC).

Azerbaijan's trade turnover with the CIS countries increased by 43.38 percent in 1Q2022, or $419.8 million compared same period of last year. The share of these countries in the total volume of import-export operations of Azerbaijan increased by 2.21 percent - up to 34.95 percent.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover increased by 63.58 percent or $4.2 billion from January through March 2022 compared to the same period last year - from $6.6 billion to $10.9 billion.
Exports accounted for $7.9 billion in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which is $3.8 billion (92.88 percent) more than in 1Q2021.
The share of exports in the foreign trade turnover amounted to 73.17 percent against 62.05 percent a year earlier.
Azerbaijan's import in the reporting period increased by $396.6 million, or 15.68 percent, from $2.5 billion to $2.9 billion. The share of imports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 26.83 percent against 37.95 percent a year earlier.
