Labor migration from Türkiye to Kazakhstan decreases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. The number of trips of Turkish citizens to Kazakhstan for the purpose of employment significantly decreased from January through August 2022, the General Directorate of Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

According to ISKUR, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Kazakhstan through the agency decreased by 38.2 percent during the reporting period compared to the same period the previous year.

ISKUR noted that 123 Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan for the purpose of employment through an agency during this period.

Generally, 10,879 Turkish citizens went abroad through ISKUR during the reporting period, which is 23.4 percent more than from January through August 2021.

A total of 197,533 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through ISKUR in Türkiye in August 2022, of whom 63.3 percent were men, and 36.7 percent were women.

Meanwhile, the number of unemployed in the country amounted to 3.3 million people, which is 5.5 percent less than in August last year, ISKUR added.
