Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / The Bill on Development of the Livestock Breeding Sector, regarding the improvement of the State's support for this field has been developed in Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Agrarian Policy, MP Eldar Irahimov, reported in Baku on 21 September.
"Although several years ago the Parliament adopted the Law on Livestock Breeding, it does not correspond with modern requirements. Therefore, a new bill has been developed," he said.
In his opinion, development of livestock breeding is necessary for Azerbaijan. "This law will enable the development of livestock breeding, which is not in good condition in Azerbaijan, and not helping the economy. The field requires State support. These issues were reflected in the bill," the MP said.
The Agriculture Ministry also considers the adoption of the bill to be necessary.
The bill will be put forward for consideration at the autumn session of the parliament which is to last between 1 October and 30 December.
