Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijan President has approved the Law of The Living Wage and the Law of The Requirements Criterion, for 2008.
The monthly living wage for 2008 was increased from AZN 64 to AZN 70. For the able-bodied citizens it is increased to AZN 79, the pensioners - AZN 55 and children - AZN 59. The requirements criterion, in accordance with which the need of the targeted social aid is considered, was approved as AZN 45 a month, which is AZN 40 for 2007.
