Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 March / Trend corr I. Khalilova/ The growth rate of prices for consumer goods and services comprised 2.2% in February 2008 as compared to January 2008, and 15.7% compared to January-February 2007, the Azerbaijan State Statistical committee reported on 17 March.
The prices for foodstuffs increased in February by 3.5%, for non-foods by 0.6% and for services by 0.4%.
As compared to January-February 2007, the prices for foodstuffs rose by 20.3%, for non-foods by 9.5%, and for services by 10.3%.
In February, the base index of consumer prices, excluding the goods and services which are sensitive to seasonal changes (fruits and vegetables) the prices for which are set by the Government, made up 101.8%, and in January-February 116.3% as compared to the same period of 2007
