(dpa) - Snow and icy road conditions brought chaos to Germany's roads late Tuesday and early Wednesday.
At least three people died in traffic accidents resulting from the slippery conditions, while many major roads were blocked by trucks that had skidded out of control.
In Saxony, the roof of a do-it-yourself warehouse collapsed. No injuries were reported.
The icy conditions struck in a broad band running across the country, following snow falls over the Easter weekend.
Weather forecasters predicted more snow for Wednesday, although conditions were expected to improve in the days ahead.
