French Accor Starts Construction of Hotels in South Caucasus
Georgia, Tbilisi, 17 May / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhkhalia/ A new hotel of the well-known hotel network - four-star Novotel will be constructed in Tbilisi. The representative of the Capital Vostok and director of French Accor Daniel Burgua signed a memorandum on intentions in Tbilisi.
The Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava also took part in the signing ceremony.
According to Ugulava, the construction of a new hotel to be located near the State Philharmonic will end in 2011. The hotel will have 200 rooms, several restaurants and trade centers. "It will be possible to hold regional conferences in the hotel," he said.
The company Accor will run the hotel Novotel, the company's own brand. The architectural conception of the hotel will be represented in September. Some $30mln is expected to be put into the project. Accor has been dealing with hotel business for already 40 years with hotel in 100 countries worldwide.
It is the second project of the construction company Capital Vostok. The first project was the Kempinski hotel in Rustaveli.
An agreement was signed between Capital Vostok and Accor who plans to build a three-star hotel Ibis in the South Caucasus, also a brand of the French company.
