Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 May / Trend corr E. Ismayilov/ The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport plans to supply 50 MAN buses and 30 MAZ buses to Baku by the end of the year. The buses will be intended for large avenues and streets in Baku.
On 19 May, Azerbaijani Transport Ministry and Korean Daewoo signed an agreement on supply of 300 buses to Azerbaijan. They will be delivered to the country in the near future. The sides also signed a Memorandum of Intent envisaging supply of 700 more buses by the end of the year. Those will be quite different in terms of technical parameters and comfort from the buses which have already been supplied to Baku.
The buses used in Baku did not correspond to the technical requirements of the Ministry, as well as the program to improve the transport infrastructure of Baku- being implemented in accordance with the decree of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
