Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 November/ Trend , corr A. Badalova/ The official dealer of Volkswagen AG in Azerbaijan Kres GmbH Autohaus has opened new service center for Volkswagen clients given the increasing demand for cars of German brand.
A news center located in 71C, Ziya Bunyadov street, largest Volkswagen center in the Caucasus, meets all modern requirements advanced by German auto producers to the official dealers of Volkswagen cars. It is implied by the interior and exterior design and rich technical equipment.
The auto complex with 8,000 sq m of area also includes showroom, service station, body shop and spare parts storage. The show-room can host 18 cars. Up-to-date service station equipped with necessary facilities for diagnostics and repair of any level of difficulty, allows to serve 30 cars at the same time.
New center offers a wide range services: crediting program, a large variety of insurance companies and test-drive of a desired model.
"Volkswagen sees Azerbaijani market as a market of increasing opportunities," Thomas Meuser, regional sales manager of Volkswagen AG said at the opening ceremony of Volkswagen service center.
He said the German auto producer plans to increase sales to a great degree in 2009. "More than 1,000 Volkswagen cars will be sold in 2009," Mazahir Mammadov, general sales manager of Kres GmbH Autohaus said.
As to the project of production of Volkswagen cars in western Ganja city of Azerbaijan, Michael Ulbricht, managing director of Volkswagen AG Busines ( Russia) said the company could not reach agreement with Azerbaijan on the volume of produced automobiles.
" Azerbaijan put up the number to 10,000 to 20,000 while we think only 1,000-2,000 is real. These issues can be considered in future," Ulbricht said.
Volkswagen sales, unlike other producers, are less harmed by global financial crisis, Meuser said.
"The announced forecast for a quarter remained unchanged. According to estimations of experts, the share of Volkswagen market has increased," he added.
