A business meeting took place in New York on Wednesday to promote commercial programs between Turkey and the United States in the year 2009, reported World Bulletin.
Based on an agreement signed by the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI) and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (MCC), high level officials from the city and state of New York expressed their desire to develop commercial relations with Turkey and announced that they were open to the idea of mutual investments.
Wednesday's meeting provided an opportunity to discuss business possibilities in the fields of "renewable energy, organic food items, and construction that is environment friendly".
The MCC represents the voice of over 100,000 companies in Manhattan (New York) and partner with over 300 diverse business organizations in the city.
The MCC has declared Turkey a "VIP Global Business Partner".
