Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 11 / Trend / Palmali Group of Companies has got a new tanker of RST22 Araz River project, the fourth tanker built in Krasnoye Sormovo plant.
A ship has been sent to customer in line with contract liabilities on delivery terms. Series of New Armada is a continuation of tanker series of 005RST01, which is known as Armada, earlier designed by Sea Engineering Bureau (Odessa) for Palmali. Tankers of a new project has strengthened sea function with increased deadweight by 650 tons in the sea and improved capacity of cargo tankers in the river. Special requirements of Russian and world oil companies, as well as additional ecological boundary conditions of a class of the Russian sea shipping registration have been taken into consideration while its development.
Ten ships will be built in new series. The Krasnoye Sormovo shipbuilding plant sent Kura River tanker to the Turkish company in Jul. 2008 and Nasiba Zeynalova - in Aug. and Bashir Safaroglu - in Sept. 2008.
The ship is in 139.95m length, 16.60m width, 6.0m height and its deadweight in the sea is about 7,000 tons with 4.60m draught, 4,700m - in river with 3.60m draught, capacity of six cargo containers and two settling tanks - 8,090 cu.m, engine power - 2х1,200KVt and operation speed - 10.5 knots.
Krasnoye Sormovo plant and Palmali Group signed contracts on construction of two tankers of 19619 project in Istanbul early March. This is the fourth and fifth tankers of this project, which will be built for the company. Fulfillment of the contract covers the fourth quarter of 2009. Three tankers of the project have been given to Palmali.
At present the sixth 13,000-tanker of 19619 project has been constructed for the Azerbaijani Caspian Sea Shipping. A contract on the seventh 13,000 was inked in Jun. 2008 and fulfillment term - 2009.
Moreover, Krasnoye Sormovo has signed a contract with Argo Shipping International company (Panama) to construct three tankers with 5,600 tons of deadweight and option for the fourth tanker has been confirmed.
