About 16.4 million lari transferred to Georgian budget as excise tax in Jan.

Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb. 12/ Trend , N. Kirtskhalia/ About 16,395,006 lari was transferred to the Georgian budget as an excise tax in January.

The Finance Ministry received 143 requests to issue excise. About 36,368,606 excises were sold and 16,395,006 lari was transferred to the budget. The Ministry received 35 excise requests for the domestic tobacco production. About 18, 245, 000 excises were sold and 6, 317, 000 lari was transferred to the budget.

The ministry received 13 requests to issue excise for the imported tobacco goods. Around 14, 762, 304 excise was sold and 8, 856, 876 lari was transferred to the budget.

The ministry received 43 requests to issue excise for the domestic alcoholic drinks. About 999,700 excises were sold and 680, 325 lari was transferred to the budget.

The ministry received 20 requests to issue excise for imported alcoholic drinks. About 269, 790 excises were sold and 230,604 lari was transferred to the budget.

The ministry received about 16 requests to issue excise for home-produced beer. Roughly 1, 359, 660 excises were sold and 213, 178 lari was transferred to the budget.

The ministry received about 16 requests to issue excise for the import beer. Roughly 732, 152 excises were sold and 97, 022 lari was transferred to the budget.

Around 13, 792, 519 lari was transferred to the budget in Jan. 2008.
