Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 25 / Trend , U.Ismayilova /

The global financial crisis will not impact the World Bank's new projects in Azerbaijan, WB Baku Office head Gregory Jedrzejczak said.

Presently, projects are underway to construct new roads and improve infrastructure.

Funds will be allocated to improve the state of IDPs.

Special training will also be held for specialists engaged in the infrastructural sector.

"The projects will be agreed upon with the Azerbaijani government before July," Jedrzejczak said.

The WB has financed 45 projects in Azerbaijan worth $2 billion. In 2008, the WB financed 13 projects worth $1.251 billion.

In 2009-2010, the WB will allocate over $1 billion to Azerbaijan via the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development.
