In January the prices dropped 0.7 percent to $1,605 per square meter on Baku second housing market as compared to December 2008, MBA Group consulting company said on Feb. 26.

Share of apartments, offered on the market at the price from $113,000 to $132,000, totaled 28.5 percent. The average index of apartments totaled 2.42 (-4.8 percent) in January, average price of one room totals $47,500, one apartments - 114,950 manat.
Apartments offered on the market above average price made up 32.8 percent of the second market portfolio, below average price - 67.2 percent.
Term of property exposition reduced 3.1 percent to 158 days on the second market in January.
Thus, 14.5 percent growth was observed in concluding purchase-sale deals in January, first time in the last several months, the company said.
Total market portfolio reduced 6.2 percent in January. Approximately 3,750 facilities were offered on the market during January.
The most part of portfolio includes facilities in Yasamal (21.9 percent of portfolio), Nasimi (16 percent) and Narimanov (13.2 percent) regions of Baku.
