No country has right to conduct flights from Sukhumi airport except for Georgia, Georgian united transportation administration head Giorgi Bokuchava and the international organization of civil aviation Paris bureau head Casten Tail said at the press-conference on May 21.

Abkhazia's separatist government's statement concerning transmission of Sukhumi airport for 10-year rent for Russian company to conduct international flights is nonsense, Bokuchava said.

A right to conduct flights has been suspended for Sukhumi airport since 1993. Its air space was closed for international flights.

There are no transit flights.

No country that flies in accordance with the international organization civil aviation standards can conduct flights from Sukhumi airport because this organization admits only united air space of Georgia, Bokuchava said.

In his turn Tail said that if any airline conducts such flights, their organization together with Georgian united transportation administration will officially apply to airline leadership of this country.

"It means that no country that flies in accordance with the international organization civil aviation standards can conduct flights from Sukhumi airport," Tail said.
