The Customs Union between Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus will begin its work since July 1st, 2011. The First Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, informed at the government session, Kazakhstan Today reported.
"As for Russia and Kazakhstan, we will start allowing transportation of goods with certification without customs registration since July, 1st, 2010 and without registration since July, 1st, 2011. We need to harmonize our information systems of Customs and Tax Departments," U. Shukeev informed.
"The Customs Union will be introduced since 2011 and all registration on the border of Russia and Kazakhstan will be done at the external borders, including all non-tariff regulations: sanitary, veterinary, and fytosanitary. All should be cancelled since July 1st, 2011. This was coordinated at the session in Minsk and the agreements and the terms of formation of the Customs Union will be discussed at the session of the Council of Prime Ministers," Vice Prime Minister informed.
