Next facts of consumer rights violation revealed in Azerbaijan

The State Service for Control over the consumer market under the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan continues to conduct monitoring to reveal violation of consumer rights in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan, the ministry said.

Next monitoring covered period from June 10-12. Roughly 6.3 overdue food (sausages, milk and milk products, vegetable oil, mushrooms, tined products, as well as ice-cream, soft drinks, etc.) were revealed during monitoring in Nizami, Narimanov, Khatai, Nasimi regions of Baku, as well as Sumgayit. All products were withdrawn and liquidated.

The state service conducted monitoring in Khachmaz. Roughly 19.5 tons of faked cement was withdrawn from sale in of trade centers of construction materials.

Protocols on administrative infringements were drawn up towards 3 legal and 15 physical entities violating consumer rights.

Roughly 13 legal entities were fined in the amount of 48,500 manat but 62 physical entities for 92,400 manat upon the Azerbaijani President's decree on amendments to the code about administrative infringements.

Monitoring continues.

On June 18, the official exchange rate is 0.8039 manat to $1.
