The United States Agency of International Development (USAID) intends to extend terms of realization of some components of the program on support to commercial and investment reforms, which have been held in Azerbaijan since September, 2007, the agency said.
This program was scheduled to finish in August, 2009. However, at present the agency is likely to extend the terms of realization of several components by 14 more months, the same source said.
Moreover, it is expected to receive additional financing from USAID. The components of the program to be prolonged are still to be defined.
The project is realized in accordance with an international agreement between Azerbaijan and U.S on joint financing the assistance projects in Azerbaijan
