The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 480 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 480 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Sabail and Khatai districts of Baku, as well as in the Ganja, Sumgayit, Davachi and Gabala regions of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, soft drinks, milk and milk products, and more.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on one enterprise and 17 individuals.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 44 enterprises have been fined worth 169,000 manats and 303 individuals - 455,000 manats.

On Aug. 20, the official exchange rate is 0.804 manat to $1.
