In November, Baku will host a meeting of national secretaries of the TRACECA transport corridor, the European Commission experts and representatives of transport agencies. The meeting is expected to finalize the privileged projects on transport corridor development, TRACECA National Secretary from Azerbaijan, Akif Mustafayev, said on Sept.30.
According to Mustafayev, last the projects were discussed in Brussels in late September. Azerbaijan proposed to reduce the number of projects and increase the number of countries involved in them.
The Baku meeting plans to discuss improving the competitiveness of the transport corridor, reforming the organization and multimodal transport.
Currently, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine are the TRACECA member-countries.
