The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry reduced nominal value of government bonds twice. Under the first issue of bonds the ministry defined the index at 100 manat in 2010

The Azerbaijani State Securities Committee has registered four issues of government bonds for the short and medium term, as well as with the right of withdrawal

The short term government bonds of the Finance Ministry issued in the volume of 200,000 units totaling 200 million manat. These bonds was registered Jan.7

The Committee has also registered issue of short term state bonds worth 1.1 billion manat, medium terms bonds worth 100 million manat and state bonds with withdrawal right worth 100 million manat with the date of issue from Jan 1 to Dec. 31, 2010  

Thus, total volume of state bonds issue made up 1.5 billion manat for Jan. 6-7

On Jan. 8, the official exchange rate is 0.8031 manat to $1.
