Azerbaijan's foreign trade with CIS countries exceeds $3.5bln

In 20009, goods worth $1.89 billion were imported to Azerbaijan from CIS countries. This figure hits 30.89 percent of total import of the country, the State Customs Committee said.

Grain-crops (11.15 percent of total import), vehicles (8.43 percent), electrical machinery, equipment and their spare parts (8.01 percent) and others were imported to Azerbaijan from CIS countries.

The amount of export of Azerbaijani goods to CIS countries hit $1.67 billion (11.39 percent of total export).

Mineral fuels, oil products, bituminous minerals (51.28 percent of total exports), fruits (6.7 percent), animal and vegetable fats (7.69 percent) and other were mainly exported to CIS countries.

There is black ink worth $218.79 million with CIS countries on import-export transactions.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $3.56 billion.

In 2009, Azerbaijan's total turnover amounted to $20.81 billion, including export- $14.69 million and import-$6.11 million.
