Belarus calls for expansion of ties with Iran
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko met Iranian Industries and Mines Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian in Minsk Thursday, saying that expanding relations between Minsk and Tehran is of high importance for his country.
He added that Belarus is ready to negotiate with Iran about mutual interests and implementation of joint ventures, IRNA news agency reported.
Mehrabian said that Iran is willing to expedite the process for carrying out joint projects.
He said that Tehran attaches great importance on its relations with Belarus and hopes to explore numerous opportunities between the two countries.
Elsewhere, the Iranian minister held a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart and called for a greater role of businesses in the realization of economic and industrial goals.
