Azerbaijan, Baku, June 2 / Trend /

So far, Azerbaijan hasn't yet received official permission from Russia for the passage of vessels of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping Company (Caspar) through Russia's inland watersof, CASPAR head Aydin Bashirov said.

The company needs the permission for the implementation of orders to transport cargo from the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea and vice-versa, Bashirov said.

In 2009, because of the global financial crisis and, consequently, reduction of the number of orders in the Black Sea, Caspar transferred its vessels to the Caspian. At present, two of the vessels of the company work in the Black Sea

Last year Azerbaijan received permission for 23 passage from the Sea of Azov to the Caspian, and 14 - from the Caspian Sea to the Sea of Azov.
