Georgia, Tbilisi, July 14 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /

The Georgian government intends to create virtual areas in which all taxes will be cancelled for the companies.

Georgian Deputy Minister of Finance Natia Mikeladze said that there will be tax preferences in virtual zones, which would free the subjects from the excise tax, income tax and customs duties.

The need to develop a bill on information technologies (virtual) zones was caused by the fact that Georgia hardly develops information technologies.

"The purpose of the adoption of the law is to create favorable conditions for the development of information technologies that, ultimately, will be focused on creating software products and computer equipment," Mikeladze said.
