The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development seized about 400 kilograms of expired food, the ministry said.

Confectionery, sausages, butter, milk and dairy products, fish and other marine products, canned foods, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer and other products were seized and destroyed.

These violations of consumer rights were identified during the monitoring carried out in Binagadi, Sabunchu, and Nasimi districts of Baku, as well as Imishli and Barda cities, and Masalli and Khachmaz regions.

Measures will be applied in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences towards violators of consumer rights.

The state service asks people to be careful and call: 498-15-01 and 498-15-04.
